All of the tables used by the WinRelic relic cataloging program are encrypted for maximum security. Through the WinRelic System Passwords Utility form it is possible to grant other users access to the WinRelic database. You can restrict others processing ability to view only the forms, not allowing reports or screen prints. Any user with view only access can not perform any system utility function. When starting WinRelic you are presented with the following dialog box which logs you into the database.

Selecting the Cancel button from the login dialog closes WinRelic. After the user enters a valid user name and password, and the OK button is selected the users name and password are verified. Valid user names can be any combination of upper and lower case characters which increases the possible combinations of passwords and user names.



The WinRelic main form is displayed once the user logs in successfully.

The WinRelic relic cataloging program uses a tabbed notebook component style which contains multiple pages, each with its own set of controls. The user selects a page by clicking the page's tab that appears at the top of the control. This user interface makes moving between common functions easy. Select a record from one tab, select another tab and the same record is still active for a different type of modification.


Selecting the Sites button will display the sites tabbed notebook, from which new site data can be entered, deleted and modified as shown below in the display. Track site field conditions to see how cultivation patterns are developing for a region. Enter site property owner information You can enter notes for a site and the property owners that are only limited in size by the computer systems hard disk.

All sites are displayed in a table format in the Site Table Tab. Click or move to the site you want to view, modify or add records to and click on the appropriat tab. The site you had selected through the Site Table Tab is now the current record. You can sort records by Site Number, Site Name, Quadrangle, County and Quadrangle/County.

Through the WinRelic Inquiry form, you can obtain information form the database in different manners. You can inquiry all of the finds found between a specified date range as shown below, or list all of your site or find information based upon a specified county or quadrangle.

From the Sales and Certificates tab of the Sites form, you can print a certificate of authenticity for any relic. The entered data for a selected relic is place onto hte certificate. There is a location on the left side of the cetificate left blank where a photo can be placed. You can print the certificate, or save it to disk for later editing or re-printing.


The displays below demonstrate the help system built into WinRelic. This help is available from any menu form displayed, and is context sensitive to the display. You can always jump back to the main help window to then jump to another desired topic or use the search option.





Selecting about from the drop down menu will display the WinRelic About Dialog box with pertinent version information.
